Wheat flour | 2 cups |
Fine mashed boiled potato | 1.5 cups |
Semolina | 2 tablespoons |
Turmeric Powder | 1/4 teaspoon |
Asafetida powder | one pinch |
Cardamom seeds | 1/4 teaspoon |
Red chili flakes | 1/2 teaspoon |
Finely chopped green chilies | 2 pieces |
Finely chopped Ginger | 1/2 teaspoon |
Green coriander leave | 1 tablespoon |
Salt | 1/2 tablespoon |
Vegetable Oil | 2 Cups for deep frying |
Cooking
- Step 1
Take wheat flour and semolina in a big bowl and add 1 teaspoon oil and mix well.
- Step 2
Add mashed potatoes and other spices in the mixture of step 1. Add little by little water, so wheat flour and potatoes start binding together.
Make sure the dough is tight so don’t mix extra water.

Keep the dough aside and cover the dough with a little moist cloth. And wait for approx 20 mins.
- Step 4
Knead the dough for a min again and then cut it into 2 inches pieces and roll the pooris.
- Step 5
Heat a pan with 2 cups of oil. Once the oil is hot, reduce the heat to medium level and fry pooris in deep golden-brown colors.
Your hot Aloo masala pooris are ready to serve.
