Oat upma is a very simple and very healthy dish. You can serve Oat upma at breakfast and kids love to have it any time of day.
|Chopped onion||1/2 cup|
|Chopped Bell pepper||2 tablespoons|
|Green peas||1/4 cup|
|Chopped tomatoes||1/4 cup|
|Chopped carrots||2 tablespoons|
|Cumin seeds||1/2 teaspoons|
|Lemon juice||1/2 tablespoon|
|Turmeric powder||1/4 tablespoon|
|Green chilies||1 teaspoon|
Put oil in a pan, once oil hot, add cumin seeds and when they start crackling, add onion and green chilies, saute for 2 minutes.
Now add tomatoes, when tomatoes get mushy, add all the chopped vegetables and stir well.
Now add turmeric powder saute a little bit then add oats and salt and mix well.
Now add water n stir it. cover with a lid and let it cook for around 5 minutes in low to medium heat.
check the desired consistency. turn off the gas and add lemon juice, cilantro.
