Kasoori Methi 1 tablespoon
Kashmiri Mirch 1 teaspoon
Cream 2 tablespoons
Finely chopped Cilantro 1/4 cup
Salt 1 tablespoon
Oil 4 tablespoons

Cooking
  • Step 1

Heat a pan. Once the pan is fully hot, add 1 tablespoon of oil and the cardamom, cloves, and cinnamon stick. Sauté for a few seconds, then add the onion and garlic and sauté.

  • Step 2

Once the onion is soft, add the tomatoes and cashews, then add 1/4 cup of water. Cover the pan and let it cook for 4 minutes. Make sure cashews are mushy and soft.

  • Step 3

Turn off the heat and let the mixture cool down. Once the mixture is cool, put all the material in the grinder and make a fine paste.

  • Step 4

Take a pan, turn the heat on medium, and add 2 tablespoons of oil and 4 tablespoons of butter to it.

  • Step 5

Once the butter is melted, add the ginger garlic paste and sauté for a minute. Add Kashmiri Mirch powder and saute a bit more.

  • Step 6

Add the paste that you prepared in step 2 and sauté it. You need to roast this mixture till the oil separates.

  • Step 7

Now it's time to add other dry spices and mix them all for a few seconds. Add 1/2 cup of warm water into the mixture.

  • Step 8

Let the mixture boil, and then add grated paneer and mix well. Let the mixture cook for 2-3 minutes.

  • Step 9

Add the paneer pieces into the gravy and stir the sauce, but make sure the paneer pieces don't break. Add cream and let it cook for 4-5 minutes.

  • Step 10

Once cooked, add honey and chopped cilantro, then turn off the heat. The Paneer Lababdar is now ready to serve.
