Ingredients
Item | Quantity |
---|---|
Rice | 1 Cup |
Chopped Onions | 1/2 Cup |
Chopped Carrots | 1/2 Cup |
Chopped Bell Pepper | 1/2 Cup |
Chopped Green onion | 1/4 Cup |
Chopped Cabbage | 1/2 Cup |
Vinegar | 1 Teaspoon |
Soy Sauce | 1 Teaspoon |
Schezwan Sauce | 2 Tablespoons |
Salt | 1/2 Teaspoon (as per taste) |
Vegetable oil | 2 Tablespoons |
Preparation
Cut all the vegetables into thin slices (preferably using a julienne cutter).
Cook your rice with 2 Teaspoons of oil (mix oil while rice is boiling) so that rice doesn’t get sticky.
- Step 1
Heat a frying pan and add oil to it. When the oil heats up, add onions and start to saute quickly. After a minute, mix the bell pepper and ginger-garlic paste, and sauté for a little bit more.
- Step 2
Mix carrots and cabbage with the mixture from step 1, and sauté all the veggies again at high heat. Make sure veggies don’t get over-cooked, and veggies should remain a little crunchy.
- Step 3
Add rice, soy sauce, vinegar, Szechuan sauce, salt, spring onion, and mix everything.
- Step 4
Garnish the mixture of step 3 with some chopped spring onions. Your Schezwan Fried Rice is ready to serve.
Serving
Always serve hot Schezwan Fried Rice with Manchurian or Soup.
