Ingredients

Paneer cubes 2 cups
Corn Flour 4 tablespoons
Soy Sauce 1 teaspoon
Vinager 1 teaspoon
Chopped green onion 1/4 cup
Maida 3 tablespoons
Finely chopped spring onion 1/4 cup
Black pepper 1/4 teaspoon
Ginger 1 tablespoon
Garlic 2 tablespoons
Square cut Onion 1/2 cup
Square cut bell pepper 1/4 cup
Square cut Tomatoes peices 1/4 cup
Slit green chilies 3-4
Green Chili sauce 1 tablespoon
Sweet and sour sauce 1 tablespoon
Tomato ketchup 1 teaspoon
Oil 4 tablespoon
Salt 1 teaspoon

Preparation

To prepare batter for gravy, take a medium size bowl add 2 tablespoons of corn starch and add 1/4 cup of water. Mix corn starch and water well and make sure it totally well mixed. And keep this batter for 5 minutes.

Cooking
  • Step 1

To prepare coating of Paneer, take a medium size bowl add maida, corn starch and pinch of salt and add water and mix well. Make sure mixture isn't too much thick or runny. It should coat paneer if you dip a cube of paneer and pull out.

  • Step 2

Now dip Paneer cubes one by one and coat with mixture of step 1.

  • Step 3

Heat up deep fry pan and add oil into it. Once oil is hot start frying coated paneer pieces. Make sure coated paneer should be golden brown only not too much brown.

Remove fried paneer pieces from oil and put in outside and let it cool down.

  • Step 4

Heat up a a pan (preferably a wok pan), add 2 tablespoon of oil. Once oil is hot add ginger, garlic and slit green chilies and saute all these for 2 mins.

  • Step 5

Add soy sauce, green chili sauce, sweet and sour sauce, ketchup and vinegar and mix everything well.

  • Step 6

Add some water, 1/2 teaspoon of salt and batter (which you kept a side after preparation stage), saute all well. Make sure gravy gets thick. You can adjust water based on your desired consistency. 

  • Step 7

Add paneer cubes with mixture and toss well make sure paneer coating shouldn't get disturb during tossing. And turn off heat and your chili paneer is ready to serve.

Serving

Serve hot Chili Paneer with garnishing of spring onions on top. Enjoy Chili Paneer as snacks or appetizer.
