Murmura Namkeen

Murmura namkeen is very quick and simple to prepare. Murmura Namkeen is a snack you can enjoy at literally any time of day. It’s light, it’s a healthy homemade snack.

Ingredients

Item Quantity
Murmura 4 -5 Cups
Peanuts 1 Cup
Corn flakes 1.5 Cups
Curry leaves 8-10 Pieces
Chaat masala 1 Teaspoon
Red chili Powder 1 Teaspoon
Turmeric Powder 1/4 Teaspoon
Salt 1/2 Teaspoon (as per taste)
Methi seeds    1/2 teaspoon
Cumin Seeds    1/2 teaspoon
Dry mango powder 1/2 Teaspoon
Vegetable Oil 1-2 Cups for deep fry

 

Cooking
  • Step 1

Heat the pan and add oil. When it heats up, fry the cornflakes on medium heat.

  • Step 2

In that same pan, fry the peanuts. (if you want you can dry roast the peanuts).

  • Step 3

Heat a large pan, add 2-4 tablespoons of oil, and add murmura. Roast until crisp. Now take them out.

  • Step 4

Heat a large pan, add 2-3 teaspoons of oil, and then add cumin seeds, curry leaves, and turmeric powder. Let those splatter, then add murmura, peanuts, and cornflakes, and mix all these materials. Now, sprinkle chaat masala, salt, and dry mango powder, and mix everything well. And Murmura Namkeen is ready.

Serving

You can enjoy Murmura Namkeen any time of day as a light snack, or you can enjoy it as a side along with any meal of the day.
