Julienne cut onion | 1 cup |
Julienne cut Green chilies | 6 pieces |
Long thin-sliced Ginger | 1 tablespoon |
Turmeric powder | 1/2 teaspoon |
Red chili powder | 1/2 teaspoon |
Chaat masala | 1/2 teaspoon |
Salt | 1 teaspoon |
Mustard oil | 2 tablespoons |
Cooking

Add mustard oil to a hot pan and wait until it gets hot properly over slow to medium heat.

Add onion and green chilies into hot oil and sauté till onion turns light pink and translucent.

Add turmeric powder, red chili powder, and salt in the material of step 2, sauté for a minute, and add tomatoes and ginger. Sauté this mixture for 1 more minute.
Cover the pan for 3-4 minutes more. Make sure tomatoes are cooked well and soft.

Add chaat masala and mix into the material of step 3, and your Gorkha Chutney is ready to serve.
